for skin, hair, nails<\/h2>\n<p>  In the cosmetics industry, biotin is valued mainly for its effects on <strong>hair and nail health<\/strong>.<br \/>\nIt has a beneficial effect on the condition of hair, preventing hair loss and stimulating hair growth.<br \/>\nIt also has a strengthening effect on nails, preventing their brittleness and splitting.<br \/>\nThanks to these properties, biotin is a common ingredient in <strong>shampoos<\/strong>, hair <strong>conditioners<\/strong>, as well as <strong>dietary supplements<\/strong> dedicated to improving the condition of skin, hair and nails.     <\/p>\n<h2>Biotin in medicine<\/h2>\n<p>  Although biotin is commonly associated as a supplement for hair and nails, the vitamin also plays an important role in numerous metabolic processes.<br \/>\nAs a coenzyme of carboxylases, it participates in cell signal transduction and gene expression. <strong>Beneficial effects of biotin on the nervous system, <\/strong>it is recommended for those struggling with excessive stress and nervousness. <strong>Another valuable property of biotin is its role in glucose metabolism<\/strong>.<br \/>\nIt regulates the conversion of glucose into glycogen stored in the liver.<br \/>\nBiotin supplemented by people with diabetes can help maintain normal blood sugar levels.<br \/>\nIt is also crucial for the proper functioning of the thyroid gland and has a role <strong>in the blood clotting process<\/strong>, through <strong>the<\/strong> co-formation of prothrombin.      &nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-17141\" src=\"https:\/\/naturalpoland.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Biotyna-wlasciwosci-i-efekty-stosowania.jpg\" alt=\"biotin capsules\" width=\"1000\" height=\"522\" srcset=\"https:\/\/naturalpoland.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Biotyna-wlasciwosci-i-efekty-stosowania.jpg 1000w, https:\/\/naturalpoland.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Biotyna-wlasciwosci-i-efekty-stosowania-510x266.jpg 510w, https:\/\/naturalpoland.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Biotyna-wlasciwosci-i-efekty-stosowania-300x157.jpg 300w, https:\/\/naturalpoland.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Biotyna-wlasciwosci-i-efekty-stosowania-768x401.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How much biotin per day?<\/h2>\n<p>  As with other vitamins, biotin is supplied to the body primarily through food.<br \/>\n<strong>The daily requirement for vitamin B7 in adults is about 30 \u03bcg<\/strong> and can usually be met with a healthy and balanced diet.<br \/>\nIn contrast to <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/naturalpoland.com\/produkty\/produkty-dla-przemyslu-farmaceutycznego-i-medycznego\/witaminy\/witamina-b12\/\">vitamin B12<\/a><\/strong>, biotin also does not require supplementation in vegan and vegetarian diets.    <\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What is biotin in?<\/h2>\n<p>  Biotin is found not only<br \/>\n<strong>in zoonotic foods<\/strong> (including egg yolks, offal, fish, milk and skim cheese), but also<br \/>\n<strong>in plant products<\/strong>: fruits (including bananas, watermelon, grapes, peaches), <strong>vegetables <\/strong>(including tomatoes, carrots), as well as <strong>legumes<\/strong>, <strong>mushrooms <\/strong>and <strong>nuts<\/strong>.    <\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Biotin deficiency &#8211; symptoms<\/h2>\n<p>  While vitamin B7 is very easy to get into the body, some people may have problems absorbing the ingredient.<br \/>\nBiotin deficiencies can occur in pregnant women, those addicted to nicotine or alcohol, those taking certain medications or those consuming raw egg yolks.<br \/>\nThe latter, unlike heat-treated yolks, contain avidin, which binds biotin and inhibits its absorption by the body.<br \/>\nThe most characteristic <strong>side effects of biotin deficiency<\/strong> include graying of the skin, peeling of the epidermis and hair loss. <strong>Biotin deficiency<\/strong> not only affects our appearance, but can also cause side effects from the nervous system.<br \/>\nThese include lethargy, apathy, seizures, depression, anxiety, chronic fatigue, among others.<br \/>\nIf a possible deficiency is suspected <a href=\"https:\/\/naturalpoland.pl\/kategoria\/produkty-dla-przemyslu-farmaceutycznego-i-medycznego\/witaminy\/\"><strong>of vitamin<\/strong><\/a> B7, albeit in nervous tension conditions in pregnant women, its supplementation will also prove useful in combating these symptoms.       <\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Biotin &#8211; side effects<\/h2>\n<p>  Biotin rarely causes side effects.<br \/>\nIt is a water-soluble vitamin and therefore excess is easily removed in the urine.<br \/>\nHowever, with prolonged use of high doses, mild gastrointestinal complaints &#8211; stomach pain, nausea, diarrhea or mood swings &#8211; may occur.<br \/>\nOf importance, however, is the fact that biotin can interfere with the results of some laboratory tests.<br \/>\nThose taking vitamin B7 should discontinue the supplement before thyroid, gonadotropin and vitamin D tests &#8211;
