It is intended for formulations focused on supporting the epidermal lipid barrier, maintaining proper hydration levels, and improving smoothness and comfort of dry or rough skin. <\/p>\n<p>It can be used in facial and body skin cosmetics, as well as in hair products requiring smoothing and conditioning. Particularly valuable are formulations combining Ceramide AP with Ceramide NP, Ceramide NG, cholesterol, and fatty acids. This allows recreating a more diverse lipid system in the product.  <\/p>\n<p>Ceramide AP is distinguished by the combination of phytosphingosine with an alpha-hydroxylated fatty acid. It is precisely the <strong>presence of an additional hydroxyl group<\/strong> that differentiates it from Ceramide NP, while the type of sphingoid base differentiates it from Ceramide NG.
