Glucoraphanin and Sulforaphane have a wide range of properties. They can show anticancer activity and protect cells against damage as well as inhibit the growth of neoplastic cells at every stage of their development. Sulforaphane’s antioxidant properties help reduce the number of free radicals but will also be successful in the fight against Helicobacter pylori (a bacteria that causes stomach ulcers). It also has anti-inflammatory properties. Sulforaphane can increase cells’ sensitivity to insulin and help fight e.g. insulin resistance and obesity. These compounds lower the level of LDL and support the proper function of the heart and liver.
