Hydrosols, also known as floral waters, are a byproduct of the essential oil distillation process. Hydrosols contain soluble plant components and small amounts of essential oils. This makes them gentle and safe even for sensitive skin. They have a subtle fragrance. Unlike essential oils, hydrosols are significantly less concentrated, which means they can be applied directly to the skin.
Our hydrosols can be preserved using substances such as DHA+BA (Dehydroacetic Acid + Benzyl Alcohol) or Potassium Sorbate, to extend their shelf life and maintain active ingredients in a stable form.
Properties of Hydrosols
Hydrosols offer numerous benefits for the skin, including moisturizing, toning, anti-inflammatory, and antibacterial effects. They also have the ability to soothe irritations and support skin regeneration. Due to their gentleness, they are recommended for people with sensitive skin, for children, and also for the care of irritated skin, for example, after depilation or shaving.
Uses of Hydrosols
Hydrosols can be used in many ways in daily skin care. As a facial toner, they wonderfully refresh and hydrate the skin, restoring its proper pH. In hair care, they can be used as refreshing and moisturizing mists. Thanks to their mild, natural scents, hydrosols can also be used in aromatherapy, to freshen up spaces, or as relaxing mists for linens. In home cosmetics, they serve as a base for creating homemade masks, tonics, or creams.
