Leaves
Leaves are the primary photosynthetic organ of a plant, responsible for producing organic compounds, gas exchange, and regulating water balance. Thanks to the intense metabolic processes occurring in leaf tissues, they are an exceptionally rich source of bioactive compounds with a broad spectrum of health-promoting and skincare benefits.

Raw materials obtained from leaves are valued for their high content of polyphenols (such as catechins, flavonoids, tannins), essential oils, chlorophyll, vitamins (including A, C, E, K), minerals, and compounds with antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Depending on the plant species, leaf extracts can have detoxifying, antibacterial, antifungal, astringent, refreshing, toning, soothing, or strengthening effects.
Applications:
Raw materials obtained from plant leaves are used both in dietary supplements – as ingredients supporting immunity, digestion, metabolism, detoxification, or fighting free radicals – and in cosmetics for combination, oily, and problematic skin care, as well as in antioxidant, purifying, and anti-aging formulations.

Below you will find plant raw materials for which leaves were the starting material for the production of extracts or powders – rich in phytocomponents and biologically active substances. They form the foundation of many effective formulations inspired by tradition and confirmed by modern science.
