The Monoi Oil of Tahiti we offer is further enriched with natural tocopherol (vitamin E) and a fragrance composition, which gives it a long-lasting, exotic and sensual aroma. It is in the form of a transparent, oily liquid of light yellow to amber color, with a distinct characteristic fragrance. It is distinguished by its high saponification index (252 mg KOH/g), low oxidation level (0.2 meq O₂/kg) and mild acidity (1.5 mg KOH/g).
Properties and applications
Monoi de Tahiti is known for its nourishing, protective and regenerative properties. It acts as an intensive emollient – it softens and smooths the skin and hair, forming a delicate occlusive layer on their surface to protect against moisture loss. Thanks to its vitamin E content, it exhibits antioxidant activity, supports the skin’s natural hydrolipid barrier and delays signs of aging. Extract of gardenia adds soothing and calming properties, so it is ideal for dry, sensitive and irritated skin.
The product is used in the production of luxury lotions, massage oils, hair masks, body creams and sunscreen and after-sun cosmetics. It gives formulas a unique, exotic character. The product is intended for cosmetic use only.
