Characteristics of peanut oil

Peanut oil is characterized by a light yellow, golden color, which depends on the method of pressing and the degree of purification of the oil. The oil has a mild, mildly nutty smell, which gives cosmetics a pleasant natural aroma. In the case of unrefined oil, the smell is more pronounced, characteristic of peanuts, while refined oil is almost odorless making it a suitable base for perfumed cosmetics. Peanut oil is rich in many fatty acids with beneficial effects on skin and hair, including:

Linoleic acid (Omega-6) – with regenerative and moisturizing effects,
Oleic acid (Omega-9) – with nourishing and softening effects on the skin,
Palmitic acid – forms a protective layer on the surface of the skin, preventing water loss,
Stearic acid – with soothing and calming effects.

In addition, peanut oil is rich in vitamin E, a powerful antioxidant that protects cells from free radicals, delaying the aging process.

Properties of peanut oil

The oil shows exceptional care properties for dry and mature skin. Thanks to its high content of fatty acids, the oil promotes skin regeneration, improves elasticity and reduces signs of aging. Its anti-inflammatory and soothing properties make it suitable for use in products for sensitive, irritation-prone and problematic skin, including skin care for acne and eczema. Peanut oil is also a valued ingredient in hair cosmetics. This product effectively strengthens the structure of the hair, improves its elasticity and prevents brittleness and dryness. In scalp care products, it shows soothing properties, soothing irritation and promoting the health of hair follicles. It is also readily used in massage oils, as it gives softness and elasticity to the skin, while helping it to regenerate.
