Lime oil is rich in limonene, β-pinene and γ-terpinene, which give it strong antibacterial, antifungal and antiviral properties. Its active ingredients benefit the skin by helping to reduce sebum secretion, refreshing and brightening the complexion. Thanks to its antiseptic effect, it works well in the care of oily and acne-prone skin, as well as an addition to cleansing and deodorizing cosmetics.

- In aromatherapy and air freshening products. Its fragrance stimulates the body, adding energy, and has an anti-stress effect, improving mood.
- In cosmetics as a cleansing and astringent product and for anti-cellulite preparations.
- In detoxifying and circulation-enhancing massage products.
- In bath products.
Lime oil, like most citrus essential oils, is phototoxic – sun exposure should be avoided for about 12 hours after its application to the skin. Use it only diluted and avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes.
