Bergamot oil is used in the fight against stress and insomnia. It shows strong relaxing and mood-enhancing effects. It is often used in aromatherapy, both in diffusers and scented fireplaces. When inhaled, it stimulates the limbic system in the brain, which is responsible for regulating emotions, helping to reduce stress levels and improve mood. Thanks to the presence of ingredients such as limonene and linalyl acetate, bergamot oil has antispasmodic and analgesic effects. It can be used as an additive to cosmetics designed for oily and acne-prone skin.

Bergamot oil, due to its bergapten content, is phototoxic. After application to the skin, it is recommended to avoid sun exposure for at least 12 hours to prevent irritation and burns. Before the first application, it is recommended to perform a sensitization test by diluting a few drops of the oil in a base oil and applying to a small area of the skin.
