Effectiveness:
Application of 30 ppm Arginine to the skin around the eyes of test subjects showed a significant reduction in skin roughness and wrinkle depth after just 15 minutes. The average wrinkle reduction was 30.67%, and the average wrinkle score dropped from 9.39 to 4.49. In addition, wrinkles were reduced by 23.30% and 23.97% after using solutions of 5 ppm and 20 ppm, respectively.
Mechanism of action:
Arginine/Lysine polypeptide, when synthesized, provides a powerful relaxing effect on facial muscles, which translates into immediate smoothing of wrinkles. It works by blocking the NaV1.4 pathway responsible for the influx of Na+ ions in muscle fibers, thereby inhibiting the formation of the platelet end potential and controlling muscle movement. This effect leads to relaxation of the facial muscles and smoothing of wrinkles.
Application:
Arginine/Lysine polypeptide is widely used in cosmetic and skin care products, offering anti-wrinkle effects. It can be used in products such as lip balms, lotions, day/night creams, eye serums, gels and more.
