Characteristics and nutritional properties
Corn DDGS is a free-flowing material with a fine-grained, granular or crushed texture. It has a characteristic slightly sweet odor and a golden brown color, resulting from the drying process. It is a product with a high protein content (about 25-35%), as well as a source of amino acids, vegetable fats, fibers, B vitamins and macro and micro elements such as phosphorus, potassium and magnesium.
Benefits of using Corn DDGS cattle feed
- It is a source of easily digestible energy – thanks to its fiber and fat content.
- It is well absorbed by cattle, and its naturally sweet taste increases willingness to take feed.
- It is an alternative to soybean and rapeseed meal.
Method of application
Corn DDGS can be used as part of dry or wet rations, mixed with silage, concentrate feeds or other dietary components. The recommended ration depends on the type and age of the animals and their production goals.
