Application:
Dehydroacetic acid can be used in many cosmetic products, such as face creams, body lotions, shampoos, conditioners and makeup products. Due to its mild effects, the product is also used in formulas for sensitive skin, acne-prone skin and those prone to allergies, as well as in cosmetics for children. In the food industry, dehydroacetic acid is used under the name E265, where it acts as a preservative in selected products, effectively inhibiting mold growth and extending shelf life.
