L-Histidine offered by Natural Poland is available as white crystals or crystalline powder and is characterized by very high purity (≥98.5%). Compliance with quality specifications, low moisture content (max. 0.2%), and strict control of heavy metal contamination (<10 ppm total) make this raw material suitable for applications with high quality requirements.
Physicochemical and Microbiological Properties
L-Histidine exhibits an optical rotation value [α]D20 ranging from +12.0° to +14.0° and a pH within 7.0–8.5. The product meets restrictive microbiological standards – total microbial count does not exceed 1,000 cfu/g, yeasts and molds ≤100 cfu/g, and the presence of pathogenic bacteria such as E. coli and Salmonella has been excluded.
The content of sulfates and chlorides does not exceed 0.03% and 0.05% respectively, and sulfated ash (residue on ignition) is maintained below 0.4%.
Applications
L-Histidine is widely used as an active ingredient in dietary supplements supporting immunity, muscle regeneration, neurological health, and as a histamine precursor. In pharmaceuticals, it is utilized in infusion preparations, buffers, and as a stabilizing agent in biological formulations. Its antioxidant properties and ability to bind metal ions make it also applicable in research on oxidative stress and organism detoxification.
