Properties of Tomato Fruit Extract
Tomato fruits are a natural source of carotenoids, including lycopene, as well as phenolic compounds, flavonoids, and organic acids. However, the profile and content of these ingredients depend on the tomato variety and the extraction method. Therefore, the extract should not be treated as an equivalent of pure, standardized lycopene.
