Obtaining this oil is extremely time-consuming and expensive, as it takes nearly half a ton of prickly pear seeds to produce one liter of oil. Such proportions make this oil a luxury product and rarely available.
Prickly pear oil contains the most vitamin E of all cosmetic oils on the market (150% more than argan oil). In addition, prickly pear seed oil has as much as 88% unsaturated fatty acids (the highest of all oils).
Uses of argan oil
Thanks to its unique properties, prickly pear oil is widely used in advanced cosmetic formulas designed to intensively regenerate, nourish and deeply moisturize the skin. Regular use of this oil can produce visible results in as little as two weeks, significantly improving skin elasticity, reducing wrinkles and improving the overall appearance and condition of the complexion. This oil is especially recommended for people with dry, mature or damaged skin, but thanks to its mild properties and high tolerance, it is suitable for all skin types.
It is not only the skin that benefits from this unique oil. Its nourishing properties also make it prized in hair care products. Prickly pear seed oil intensively moisturizes, strengthens hair and restores its natural shine. It is an ideal ingredient in preparations for dry, damaged and lifeless hair.
