Research published in the British Journal of Dermatology has shown that bakuchiol has remarkable antioxidant properties—it reduces wrinkles, discoloration, and skin furrows.
Considered a natural alternative to retinol, bakuchiol—unlike retinol—does not have photosensitizing properties. On the contrary, it can soothe the harmful effects of sunlight, making the skin more resistant.
