Applications in cosmetics:
Cedar oil is used in cosmetics for oily and acne-prone skin with astringent properties. It helps control sebum secretion and prevent oily skin. In hair cosmetics, it has a strengthening effect, preventing hair loss. It can be added to shampoos and rubbed into the scalp as a jojoba oil-based hair oil.
Use in aromatherapy:
Cedar oil has calming properties, reducing stress and nervous tension, and improving concentration. It combines well with citrus oils. The oil is also an effective natural repellent against mosquitoes, ticks and other insects. It can be applied to exposed parts of the body when diluted in a base oil or blended with eucalyptus and lemon oils.
