Mechanism of action:
Palmitoyl tripeptide-7 acts on keratinocytes to reduce the secretion of interleukin-6 (IL6). This helps maintain the skin’s cellular balance and minimize the inflammatory response. Thus, this ingredient effectively improves the firmness and elasticity of the skin. In addition, it acts as a cellular messenger, stimulating the synthesis of collagen (types I, II, IV) and elastin in the skin, which contributes to the regeneration of collagen fibers.
An experiment in anti-aging effectiveness:
In a study involving 28 subjects, palmitoyl tripeptide-7 was applied to the face. The results showed that after a two-month application of the ingredient, there was a significant increase in skin fiber content compared to baseline.
Applications:
Palmitoyl tripeptide-7 is widely used in cosmetic products providing anti-aging, anti-wrinkle, anti-inflammatory, firming, anti-allergic and other effects. It is a key ingredient in products such as gels, lotions, day and night creams, eye serums and face masks.
The recommended concentration for use in products is between 0.002% and 0.01%.
