Linseed meal is obtained from golden or brown flax seeds, originating primarily from Eastern Europe and Central Asia. Due to the retention of some fat and the presence of natural bioactive compounds, it is a valuable feed component in the balanced diet of farm animals.
Properties and Composition:
The protein content in the raw material is a minimum of 30%. The presence of residual linseed oil provides unsaturated fatty acids, including alpha-linolenic acid (omega-3), which can improve the nutritional value of feed. The fat content in dry matter is ≤ 8%, crude fiber: ≤ 11%, and moisture: ≤ 10%.
The product meets pesticide content requirements in accordance with EU regulations, and heavy metal and mycotoxin levels are maintained within specified safety standards.
Applications:
Linseed meal is used as:
- a feed component for cattle, pigs, and poultry,
- an additive to increase protein content in mixtures,
- a raw material to improve the fatty acid profile of feed.
