Spirulina powder is in the form of a fine, dark green powder with a characteristic delicate aroma.
The product is 100% natural and contains no additives or preservatives.
Properties
Spirulina is largely composed of protein (more than 60% by dry weight) rich in amino acids that the human body cannot produce on its own. Therefore, products containing spirulina are often chosen by people who avoid meat and animal products in their daily diet. The rest, or about 30% of the substance, are essential fatty acids, vitamins and minerals (including chlorophyll and carotenoids). Spirulina mainly contains ingredients such as vitamin A, B, C, D, E, K, but also magnesium, iron or arachidonic acid. It’s no surprise then that spirulina is a popular choice among consumers. However, despite its rich composition, there are also significant contraindications for its use. Preparations containing spirulina should not be used by pregnant and lactating women, children, but also by people suffering from autoimmune diseases, phenylketonuria or patients taking immunosuppressive or blood-clotting drugs.
Application:
Spirulina powder is commonly used as an additive in smoothies, smoothies, juices and as an ingredient in dietary supplement tablets and capsules.
It can also be added to a variety of foods such as energy bars, health drinks, and desserts to enrich them with additional nutritional value.
Due to its antioxidant and detoxifying properties, spirulina is also used in cosmetic formulas such as face masks, creams and hair care products.
