Properties of acacia fiber
Acacia fiber contains at least 90% dietary fiber on a dry matter basis. It is a free-flowing powder with a white or yellowish-white color. It is neutral in taste and odorless, making it suitable for use in products where it should not alter their natural taste or aroma.
The porous structure of the particles ensures good flowability and facilitates even distribution of the ingredient in formulations. The powder disperses well and dissolves quickly at room temperature, making it easy to use in beverages, instant mixes, and powdered dietary supplements. An aqueous solution at 25% concentration is slightly acidic – its pH ranges from 4.0 to 5.0.
Applications of acacia fiber
